I just got a new slider, and wanted to test it out. Really, I just wanted an excuse to film my friends and I setting up a Hookah.

Filmed with the Canon EOS 7D, Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lenses on Kessler Crane's Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly (Black Traveler Edition).

The entire project was rendered on 7 computers, Running Maya for 3D, Mudbox for sculpting,
Mari and Mudbox for Texture Painting, Vray for rendering, Nuke for compositing. A lot of shortcuts had to be used in order to manage our render times Including 3d projections in nuke, miniatures, and practical elements.

The majority of the vfx work was just us two, however we had great help from friends on the rigging and animation side of things. We wanted to make sure everything you see on screen was designed and or fabricated by our team.

We learned a lot and hope to keep improving as storytellers and visual artists. Thank you for watching.

The material for this short film I recorded out of the train between Berlin and Rostock in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg. It was in the beginning of 2009.

Prior to the making of this film, I initially intended to focus on a "simple" story of animal welfare. But sometimes things don't work out exactly as planned. Instead, I stumbled upon an even more intriguing story of societal neglect, economic despair, morality and self-fulfillment.

I recognize the controversy surrounding the issues presented in the film and have purposely left it to you, the viewer, to formulate your own opinion.

The Beauty at Five Corners Square in Murmansk. Красавица на площади Пять Углов в Мурманске. This December 5 2012 day I was lucky to get some recordings from the New Year tree at the Five Corners Square in Murmansk when they were running test of the lights.

A group of friends that decided to leave the city for a few days and took a road trip to Huancaya (320 kms away from Lima).

These were some of the worst moments we went through.
